BORIS “Bozo” Johnson was clinging to power last night – in the face of 42 Government resignations.

Home Secretary Priti Patel and Housing Secretary Michael Gove, who was later axed, were among those urging him to quit.

And a slew of Cabinet ministers, including Transport Secretary Grant Shapps and new Chancellor Nadhim Zahawi were said to have gone to No10 to tell the PM the game was up.
