Bal Bansal posted: "Just heard Greggs are having an IT issue and having to close shops.
"This is bordering a national emergency! Can all IT folk go and help Greggs. Potentially, steak bakes as a reward!"

In a statement yesterday, the baking firm said: "We are currently experiencing issues accepting payments in our shops. We are working to resolve this as soon as possible." But by lunchtime, the popular chain said the "majority of shops affected are now able to take card and cash payments again".
Earlier in the day, customers shared their upset on social media, with one writing on X: "Greggs this morning cash only! Sitting here with my coffee watching almost everyone have to walk out."
Greggs has more than 2,450 shops in the UK. But it is unclear how many were affected by the payment problem or what caused it.
