It made my eyes pop, my head spin and my bladder ache. The only organ that didn’t get a good workout in James Cameron’s Avatar sequel was my heart. But, while the drama lacks emotional heft, this 192-minute special effects spectacular pinned me to my seat.
Much of the original movie’s box office haul was down to the cutting-edge technology Cameron showcased with his stunning visuals. We’d never seen CGI vistas like this or alien faces that looked so eerily real.
