ERIC Idle has branded fellow Monty Python star John Cleese a very naughty boy over a stage version of Life Of Brian.
An unholy row erupted after Idle slammed a report claiming he and Cleese had been working together on adapting the classic 1979 comedy film.
And he confronted claims about the axing of the crucifixion scene, inset, featuring Eric's song Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life.
The 80-year-old tweeted: "I have nothing at all to do with this production or adaptation. Apparently Cleese has cut the song.&nbsp;Of course."
And he said of the show: "It's a Cleese thing. And good luck to him. But he mustn't say I cut things I didn't write."
It came after British Comedy Guide tweeted about the upcoming stage version of the film in which "Brian" is called "not the Messiah" but "a very naughty boy" - "John Cleese... and Idle have made changes -for example, there'll be no crucifixion scene."
John has said: "I think Life Of Brian is our best film. We are going to do it in London in the second half of next year."&nbsp;
