SCOT GEMMILL will remind his Scotland U21 stars a place on the plane for Germany 24 is not out of reach as they gear up for a huge Euros qualifier of their own.
With Steve Clarke fine tuning his squad for this summer’s finals a number of top talents in Gemmill’s side are eyeing a late push into the senior team.
Sassuolo left-back Josh Doig, Sturm Graz midfielder Max Johnston, Bristol City goalscorer Tommy Conway, Manchester City playmaker Lewis Fiorini and Rangers defender Leon King have all been called up over the past year but are back in the 21s with just over two months to go before Clarke names his final selection.
Ahead of Thursday’s U21 qualifier against Kazakhstan in Paisley, Gemmill said he will remind his players of the carrot dangling in front of their faces – even though they are wise enough to realise it themselves.
