THE BBC has vowed Diana's Panorama interview will never be shown again after the High Court heard of the despicable dirty tricks Martin Bashir used to persuade her to take part.
Former royal nanny Tiggy LeggeBourke was granted substantial damages thought to be £500,000 for "shocking" smears made against her by Bashir as he tried to get close to Diana in 1995.
Bashir persuaded Diana that her estranged husband Prince Charles was having an affair with Tiggy and that she had become pregnant and had an abortion as a result.
Bashir even provided a faked "receipt" for the termination.
In the High Court, Tiggy's lawyer Louise Prince said her client had suffered greatly for 25 years due to the "false and malicious allegations" made about her by Bashir.
Ms Prince said: "The claimant did not have an affair with HRH the Prince of Wales, did not become pregnant with his child, and did not have an abortion.
