THREE years have passed since the SNP was re-elected as the Scottish Government. It seems like every day since, the party has been on a suicide mission.
Our dalliance with the Scottish Green Party has resulted in a catastrophic drop in support for the SNP.
The people have become fed up to the back teeth of the SNP/ Green obsession with issues of identity, like the ill-thought Gender Recognition Reform Act.
They want action on the things that matter to them, including making progress towards achieving independence.
The Scottish people are desperate for help in dealing with the cost-of-living crisis, urgent action to sort out the mess in the NHS, a plan to tackle under- performance in our education system, investment to urgently address the housing emergency and a more ambitious plan to reduce child poverty.
The deal with the Greens coupled with an almost total failure to deliver on key policies is costing the SNP dearly.
Nearly every opinion poll has the SNP’s level of support down to half the vote share we won in the 2021 Scottish Parliament election – and it’s still falling.
The Green tail has been wagging the SNP dog for too long.
