SAMMIE SZMODICS would love to replicate his childhood idol Steven Gerrard and become an FA Cup hero - but he won't be trying the Scouse accent again.
The Blackburn midfielder spent many days in his Essex back garden as a kid, kitted out in a Liverpool strip and pretending to be the Kop icon.
Szmodics took his mimicking so far he even gave the Scouse accent a go.
"I'm not doing it, it's awful," said Szmodics, as he laughed when he was reminded of the impersonation.
