Louis De Zoysa, 25, denies murdering Sgt Matt Ratana, 54, after being held on September 25, 2020 in Croydon, south London.
On Wednesday, prosecutor Duncan Penny KC showed Northampton Crown Court a 79-minute video of his arrest, including the moment De Zoysa said "this is it" as he aimed a hidden antique revolver at Sgt Ratana, 54, inside a police custody suite.
The accused fired three shots, hitting the officer in the heart. De Zoysa, who was handcuffed behind his back, was struck in the neck by a fourth shot.
Yesterday, police released an edited eight-minute version of the footage. It shows the shooting and De Zoysa being stopped and searched in Norbury by officers in the early hours of September 25, 2020.
