SCOTS PLAYER AXED OVER PRO-IRA SHIRT

A SCOTS footballer has been suspended by his club after he was snapped in a T-shirt bearing what appears to be a pro-IRA slogan.

John Herron, 28, from Coatbridge, Lanarkshire, has been dropped from Larne FC games until further notice over a social media image alongside Cliftonville player Ronan Hale.

The picture, shared on Hale's Instagram profile, shows Herron in a T-shirt emblazoned with the colours of the Irish flag and the slogan "tiochfaidh ar la" in the shape of an assault rifle.
