MARIE'S ROCK will defend her crown in the Close Brothers Mares' Hurdle with the eight-year-old one of three to line up in the race for Nicky Henderson.
She arrives at Cheltenham tomorrow unbeaten in four and there had been speculation she might step up to three miles for a crack at the Stayers' Hurdle.
But with conditions forecast to be on the slow side throughout the week, Tom Palin of owners Middleham Park said: "There's a bit of an unsettled forecast at the back end of the week.
"That kind of made our decision for us.
