Christie vows bounce back
Pants day in Dublin isn't on

ANDY CHRISTIE insists Scotland can bounce back from their Rome humbling in Dublin come Saturday.

The flanker was a standout performer as Gregor Townsend's side raced into a 22-10 lead against Italy.

But he was powerless to prevent an implosion that saw Scotland cough up 21 unanswered points and seven consecutive penalties to fall 31-22 behind with just eight minutes to go.

A late Sam Skinner try salvaged two bonus points but the 31-29 defeat leaves them facing the prospect of ending a campaign that had promised so much in the bottom half of the table.

Scotland have not won in Dublin since 2010 and they will face a Championship-chasing Ireland team desperate to right a few wrongs of their own following defeat to England.
