The Scot delivered Scotland's first medal in female artistic gymnastics and admitted even she couldn't believe her feat.

Archer's sister is working in the Games' events team and the 24-year-old ensured she set up a huge family party in front of her watching mum and gran by nabbing her first global medal.

But it all got a bit too much for the Edinburgh star after confirmation of her medal flashed up on the big screen. She said: "I just looked at the scoreboard and instantly cried.
