ABERDEEN have opened talks with Jamie McGrath over a new contract.
Director of football Steven Gunn is in negotiations with the midfielder, who netted an impressive 11 goals in his first season at Pittodrie.
The Republic of Ireland cap is still under contract until next summer but Dons chiefs want to extend that to ensure he is a long-term part of Jimmy Thelin's regime.
