A CHILD is said to be in intensive care with monkeypox as doctors warn that new cases are being detected daily.
The youngster is being treated in a London hospital, according to reports, as experts were braced for cases to increase before containment measures bring the outbreak under control.
Chief medical adviser Dr Susan Hopkins said Britain is "absolutely" seeing community transmission of the virus and new cases are being detected on a "daily basis".
