DAVID MARTINDALE reckons Dominican giant Luiyi de Lucas fits the bill for Livingston as he prepares for life without another defender in Jack Fitzwater.
De Lucas, 28, featured in Tuesday's friendly draw with QPR and is heading to Turkey with the Lions this morning for a week-long mid-season training camp. Martindale expects interest in Fitzwater to ramp up next month, with a six-figure price tag on the Englishman's head.
The Livi boss is looking at potential replacements, with 6ft 4in De Lucas in line for another run-out against Latvians Liepaja on&nbsp;Monday after his contract ran out at Haka in Finland.
Martindale said: "Luiyi was with us last year and I was going to have a nibble then but I was fairly strong in that department.
"He went to Haka, played more than 30 games there and did really well. Jack is coming out of contract,&nbsp;so it's an area I'm looking to strengthen if offers come in. Luiyi is strong, aggressive, he covers the ground really well and his use of the ball is decent.
"He'd benefit us in both boxes and he'd suit the physical Scottish game. He loves a tackle and a header.
