DANNY MULLINS is out to extend an astonishing Grade One record at the Cheltenham Festival.
The Irish maestro has ridden 26 winners of top-level races in his career and not one of them has been a favourite.
It's why he heads across the Irish Sea full of belief he can add to his tally this week.
And it's why he's the other Mullins who can be a major pal to punters over four days in the Cotswolds.
While stable No.1 Paul Townend gets the first pick of Danny's uncle Willie's spectacular battalions, the nephew has proven to be no second string in the saddle.
Mullins was it again at last month's Dublin Racing Festival as he reeled off Grade One wins on Dancing City at 16/1, Kargese at 7/2 and Il Etait Temps at 6/1 while leaving Townend and his more fancied mounts in his dust.
The first of Mullins' two Cheltenham Festival wins aboard Flooring Porter, in the 2021 Stayers' Hurdle, also came as a spare ride after injury denied Jonathan Moore.
Odds don't matter to Mullins. The form book is there to be ripped up.
He's proud of the outstanding 26 non-jolly record as he said: "Definitely... but I suppose it doesn't really matter what price they are.
"I naively believe I can win everything, so I just have a go at it.
