HARRY'S KILLER SPARED PRISON

HARRY Dunn's killer is seen walking free moments after being spared jail for a crash that left the teenager begging: "Please don't let me die." American spy Ann Sacoolas, 45, was handed a suspended eight-month term via video-link after refusing to travel to the UK to appear at the Old Bailey.

She was driving on the wrong side of the road when she killed the 19-year-old motorcyclist outside RAF Croughton in Northamptonshire in 2019.

She admitted causing death by careless driving in October.

After sentencing yesterday, she left law offices in US capital Washington.

When asked if she had any comment to make or a further apology to Harry's family, she refused.

She also would not comment on why she had refused to return to the UK to appear in court in person.

It came after the court heard how Harry pleaded not to die as his life ebbed away. His mum Charlotte Charles wept as she told the hearing she had not reached hospital before her son died there with multiple severe injuries.

She added: "Harry just disappeared out of my life that night, shattering my existence for ever. His passing haunts me every minute of every day and I'm not sure how I'm ever going to get over it.
