GIVE DAVIE HIS PRIDE OF PLACE AT IBROX

A FORMER Rangers star has called for a statue of his beloved teammate to be restored and moved to Ibrox.

David MacKinnon starred for Rangers in the 80s, making more than 165 league appearances alongside Davie Cooper, who died in 1995 aged just 39 following a brain haemorrhage.

The bronze sculpture of the Ibrox legend was unveiled in Cooper's home town at the Hamilton Palace sports grounds on March 18, 1999.
