Gaza medics 'beaten and stripped by IDF'

THE Foreign Office has demanded a full investigation into claims Israeli troops beat and humiliated Palestinian medical workers in Gaza.

Staff at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis were blindfolded, stripped and beaten by members of the Israeli Defence Force, the BBC said.

One distraught doctor claimed he was detained, had dogs set upon him and was violently assaulted by a soldier.

Another said medics were hit by Israeli troops every time they moved, treatment lawyers have branded cruel and inhumane.

In at least three matching accounts, alleged victims claimed they were soaked with cold water and forced into stress positions.
