FORMER Scottish champion Ally Black has hit the comeback trail and gone in at the deep end by sparring with Josh Taylor.
The former welterweight king hasn't fought since being floored by mum Wilma's death four years ago.
But now the 33-year-old, being trained by Steph Mcauslan out of Johnny Sullivan's gym, is lacing up the gloves again.
And he's hell-bent on landing a second Scottish title - just as he'd promised the woman who always believed in him.
The Kirkintilloch boxer has already sparred with former world champions Taylor and Maxi Hughes, along with Commonwealth Games gold medallist Reese Lynch.
