EX-RANGERS director Imran Ahmad wants compensation of £60million from the Crown Office for "career ending" losses he faced after being prosecuted in a doomed fraud probe, a court heard.

The Court of Session in Edinburgh heard an expert has assessed Ahmad lost £57million following the decision to take him to court.

The court heard Ahmad had previously sought £2million compensation from the Lord Advocate. He was one of many prosecuted by the Crown after a police probe into the takeover of Rangers by Craig Whyte in 2012.
