PEP GUARDIOLA has told his Manchester City players not to take success for granted and warned Liverpool's demise could just as easily happen to them.
City and Liverpool have battled it out for the Premier League title in recent years.
But Guardiola’s second-placed side go into today’s clash a whopping 19 points ahead of Jurgen Klopp’s faltering Reds, who are down in sixth place.
Despite City’s relentless run under Guardiola, including four of the last five league titles, he warned glory can quickly be replaced by failure as Liverpool have shown.
Guardiola said: Always I think it can happen. I never think or overestimate me so much or the team that it’s not going to happen. This can happen.
