Dogs that killed Missy are living 100 yards away

THE owners of a border collie mauled to death by two Staffordshire bull terriers have blasted a "lack of action" by authorities.

John and Anne Baker say the dogs have been allowed to remain living 100 yards from their home in Elie, Fife, despite the fatal attack last month.

Eight-year-old Missy spent a week fighting for her life after being savaged in a field close to her home while being walked by 75-year-old Anne.

She was put to sleep after being given just a "one in a million" chance of recovering from her numerous injuries.

Missy's heartbroken owners were horrified to discover the two terriers had attacked previously but have been allowed to remain in the care of their current owner.
