Royals accused of waging 'war' against prince's wife

PRINCE Harry has suggested his jealous family waged “war” against his “rock star” wife Meghan because she was becoming too popular. 

In the second trailer for their Netflix documentary, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex accuse the Royal Family of dirty tricks, as Harry says: “You know, there’s leaking, but there’s also planting stories.”

Speaking to camera, the couple’s lawyer, Jenny Afia, says: “There was a war against Meghan to support other people’s agendas.”

And Christopher Bouzy, a long-time supporter, says: “It’s about hatred, it’s about race.”

But even before the first episode of the Harry and Meghan series is broadcast on Thursday, its credibility is in doubt due to questions over the footage used in the trailer, with film unconnected with the couple used to suggest media intrusion into their lives. And senior royals are going about their “business as usual”, with one insider saying: “There is a genuine belief that now that the couple have been gone three years from the UK, what more could they have possibly left to say.”

Royal author Robert Jobson last night revealed a picture used in the trailer of Harry and Meghan in a courtyard carrying their baby son Archie had been taken from an “accredited pool” at the home of the late at Archbishop Tutu in Cape Town, South Africa.
