SCOTLAND star Billy Gilmour was left with "feelings of panic" after he was stalked by a social media influencer who falsely claimed he got her pregnant.
The Brighton midfielder was targeted by TikToker Orla Melissa Sloan, who left him so distressed by the bogus claims he was unable to sleep, a court heard.
Sloan, 21, who used the name Devil Baby on Instagram, admitted stalking the Premier League midfielder as well as his former Chelsea FC team-mates Mason Mount, 24, and Ben Chilwell, 26.
Westminster Magistrates' Court heard how her behaviour had a "huge impact on Gilmour's life after he joined Brighton & Hove Albion last September.
The court was told Gilmour, 21, had initially exchanged messages with Sloan, who he had briefly met at a party at Chilwell's house before telling her he did not want their contact to continue.
Sloan never had a relationship with Gilmour but she claimed to have fallen pregnant to him in allegations described in court as "completely fictitious". Gilmour, from Ardrossan in Ayrshire, said: "I have not been able to sleep and have had to take sleeping tablets. It's had a negative effect on my performance and professional life.
"Being in a new town where I don't have my friends or family, it's really upsetting. I don't know who I can trust any more. Some of the information would only have been known by people close to me."
