DUNGEONS have never been known for a shortage of blood.
But now a tourist attraction has called on its visitors to give theirs in return for free entry.
Edinburgh Dungeons wants to reward anyone who donates a pint of blood with complimentary admission to mark National Blood Week.
It comes after the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service called for 16,000 new donors to come forward after stock levels dropped in Covid.
Kathryn Angel, general manager of Edinburgh Dungeons, said: "We know giving blood can sometimes be a daunting experience, so we will reward anyone who donates with free entry to the dungeons."
Visitors will be able to explore&nbsp;the spookiest, scariest moments, from facing the wrath of Judge Mental in the 17th-century Courtroom to braving Greyfriars Kirkyard.
They can get free entry to The Edinburgh, and York, Dungeons. To claim free entry, visitors must show their Blood Donor card confirming a blood donation between June 14-19.
Scotland has 96,000 blood donors. It is hoped this number will be boosted to 105,000 following an ad campaign.
