£900,000 BILL TO FIX CLOCK-UP

A CASH-strapped council is set to cough up £900,000 to fix a broken town clock after a botched repair job.

Stirling’s historic George Christie Memorial Clock smashed to the ground during previous repair efforts.

Councillors will today be asked to approve the reinstatement of the listed landmark – and the £873,000 repair bill.
