SEVEN years after losing his job as England boss, Stuart Lancaster has the chance to put himself in contention for a return to Twickenham.
In Marseille tomorrow, the Leinster team he coaches is favourite to win club rugby’s biggest prize. It would be Lancaster’s second European Champions Cup triumph, having won in 2018.
The Cumbrian is looking no further than La Rochelle, Leinster’s opponents at Stade Velodrome and the team who beat them in last season’s semi-final.
But others are starting to wonder whether, when Eddie Jones (above) steps down after the World Cup next year, Lancaster should be approached by the organisation that showed him the door in 2015.
