THIS would wake up even the most bleary-eyed clubber... a 6ft shark is snapped in shallow waters at a popular swimming cove in an Ibiza party resort.
The big fish, believed to be a blue shark, appeared to be disorientated as it browsed around the rocks at Calo des Moro in San Antonio yesterday morning.
Among the holidaymakers and locals posting snaps of the unexpected visitor was expat businessman Martin Makepeace, who wrote: "Small shark stranded in shallow waters in Calo des Moro... Sad to see."
Environment officers hurried to the area, which is reached by a pedestrian promenade beyond San Antonio's strip of shops and bars.

A blue shark was also believed to have been seen off neighbouring Majorca this month, forcing bathers to flee the sea at Cala Mondrago in the south-east of the island.
The same type of shark, among the most common in Spain, was blamed for an attack on a holidaymaker in Elche near Alicante in July 2016. The 40-year-old victim needed stitches to a large bite in his hand.
In August 2018, a blue shark appeared off the packed Majorcan beach of Calas de Majorca on the island's east coast.
