STREET parties across the UK will help recapture the incredible celebrations of VE Day during its 80th anniversary in May.
The Red Arrows will also fly over Central London to honour the heroes of the Second World War.
Under government plans unveiled today, four days of commemorations will be held from Bank Holiday Monday on May 5 until May 8.
It is estimated around 70,000 British veterans are still alive today.
Last year No10 ruled out an extra bank holiday but PM Keir Starmer promised Mirror readers that events will “do that generation proud”.CHEERED
