PRINCE Harry paid an emotional tribute to the Queen, calling her a "guiding compass" and saying she is "together in peace" with husband Prince Philip.
The Duke of Sussex, who delayed making a statement on Her Majesty's passing out of respect for the anniversary of the September 11 terror attacks, also said he wanted to honour his estranged father at the start of his reign as King.
In his message, Harry 1988 Har referred to his "darling wife" Queen an Meghan and said he was grateful that the Queen had hugged her "beloved great-grandchildren" - Archie, three, and Lilibet, one and said he "cherished" time spent with her.
Harry said: "In celebrating the life of my grandmother, Her Majesty The Queen - and in mourning her loss we are all reminded of the guiding compass she was to so many in her commitment to service and duty. She was globally admired and respected.
"Her unwavering grace and dignity remained true throughout her life and now her everlasting legacy.
Harry's statement came two days after the Prince and Princess of Wales put on a united front with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as they joined forces on a walkabout at Windsor Castle on Saturday, although royal sources described the meeting as a "temporary truce".
