The usual? That's Annie

NANNY Annie may be pint-sized but she is still a force to be reckoned with behind the bar at The Journey's End.

Now 82, Ann Wilson has worked at the pub for 50 years and has no plans to call last orders yet.

The straight-talking mum-of-two works two days a week and says she can still handle troublemakers.

Her first bar job started 10 years earlier, in 1964, when the young mum wanted money to buy a fridge.

That was at The Old Yew Tree in Yardley, Birmingham, before she moved down the road where she has stayed ever since, through 12 bosses.
