ACTOR Julian Sands' car has been found near mountains a week after he disappeared while out hiking.
The Brit, 65, star of Oscar-nominated films including A Room with a View, was reported missing on January 13.
A search and rescue operation in the San Gabriel Mountains, near Los Angeles, has been suspended amid a heightened risk of avalanches.
But it is understood Sands' son Henry is retracing his father's route, accompanied by an experienced climber.
Yesterday footage showed Sands' silver Volvo estate being towed away near Mount Baldy.
