PIERRE-EMERICK AUBAMEYANG has named the legend who showed him the immense self-belief needed to be a world-class striker.

The Chelsea star got that all-important first goal for his new club under his belt to set him up nicely for Wednesday’s Champions League clash with his first club AC Milan.

Barely a month after “violent cowards” broke into his home in Barcelona and fractured his jaw, the mask is gone and the smile is as bright as ever.

And he laughs joyously as he reminisces about his early life at the San Siro and tales of the Brazilian Ronaldo.

Aubameyang was still a starstruck 17-year-old when Ronaldo arrived from Real Madrid. “To be fair, I was just trying to learn as much as I could from him,” he said.

“I was just a young kid among all those stars, just playing and training. I was just trying to pick up information.”
