Under seven hours could raise blood pressure

GETTING less than seven hours of sleep increases your risk of developing high blood pressure.

Research covering a million people in six countries showed less than seven hours a night was linked to a 7% higher blood pressure risk.

Under five hours appeared to increase the risk by 11%. The findings were presented at the American College of Cardiology's Annual Scientific Session.
