AROUND 100,000 civil servants will stage a 24-hour strike on the same day next month in a major escalation of a bitter dispute over pay, pensions and conditions.
Staff at 124 Government departments including the DVLA, Department for Work and Pensions, and the Home Office are expected to walk out on February 1, hitting passports, airports, benefits, and driving licences.
