ISRAELI troops stormed Gaza's largest hospital claiming Hamas fighters had regrouped there.
Officials said around 30,000 people were sheltering within the al-Shifa Hospital compound in Gaza City when the attack was launched yesterday morning.
The Israeli military said it killed a Hamas commander who was armed and hiding and that one of its own soldiers died.
It last raided the hospital in November claiming that Hamas had maintained a command centre there.
