THE Princess of Wales comforted a Ukrainian mum who wept as she described the horror of fleeing Putin’s war.
The future Queen said “I wish we could do more” as she heard Galina Bolebrukh’s harrowing tale.
The 39-year-old fled Kyiv with son Renat, three, and mother Iryna as Russian missiles rained down.
Her husband stayed on the front line to fight the invaders.
Kate hailed the resilience and bravery of the war-ravaged nation while visiting a Ukrainian community centre in Reading, Berks, yesterday.
And she praised staff, saying: “It’s amazing to see the work being carried out and the people coming out to support Ukrainians here.”
Centre deputy chairman Mick Polleck said: “All Britain has been really good and we are eternally grateful.”
