MISSING rugby league star Bryn Hargreaves "was in a really bad place" and drinking heavily before his mysterious disappearance six months ago, his best friend says.
Matt Hecklinger, 32, fears the 36-year-old former St Helens and Wigan star "did something to himself", but has not ruled out the possibility that his friend was abducted and possibly murdered.
