FAIR pay campaigners today demand a wage rise for carers to help tackle the NHS crisis.
Experts reckon the move could halt a staff exodus in the sector and attract new workers.
The call comes amid an estimated 165,000 vacancies for carers and 132,000 in the health service.
The Living Wage Foundation says boosting carers' pay will result in fewer patients stranded in hospitals - freeing up space and cutting waiting times.
