BORIS Becker is set to be deported to Germany next week after serving less than eight months of his two-and-a-half-year fraud sentence in England.

The three-time Wimbledon winner, 55, was jailed in April for hiding £ 2.5 million of assets in a bankruptcy fraud case. He is in HMP Huntercombe, Oxon, where foreign nationals are held ahead of deportation.

Becker is expected to return to Germany next week and will not have to serve the rest of the sentence.

He has qualified for a fast-track scheme which sends criminals to their home countries before their release date, reducing pressure on British jails.
