A quiet legend..

TITO Jackson, who shot to fame in the 1970s alongside his brothers in The Jackson 5, has died from a suspected heart attack at the age of 70.

While his King of Pop sibling Michael became one of the world's biggest stars, Tito held off launching a solo career until 2016.

But with brother Jackie, he was the band's most consistent member, performing around the globe with the Motown legends for decades. He was last on stage in Munich on September 10 and two days earlier made his final appearance in the UK at the Boogletown festival in Surrey.

While in Germany, he had spoken of visiting a memorial for Michael. He said: "My brothers Jackie, Marlon and I visited the beautiful memorial dedicated to our beloved Michael Jackson.

"We're deeply grateful for this special place that honours not only his memory but also our shared legacy.

"Thank you for Wit keeping his spirit alive." His three sons confirmed his death yesterday, saying: "It's with heavy hearts that we announce that our beloved father, Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Famer Tito Jackson, is no longer with us.

"We are shocked, saddened and heartbroken. Our father was an incredible man who cared about everyone and their well-being "He will be missed tremendously.
