The praise came after the Chancellor tore up a Brusselsimposed cap on bankers' bonuses, in a move to make London the top financial services destination.
His pro-business also axed measures introduced by his predecessor, Rishi Sunak.
Corporation tax is frozen at 19 per cent, instead of being hiked by six per cent, and the National Insurance rise is scrapped from November, helping bosses keep down their staffing costs.
New low tax, low regulation investment zones are being created to drive up productivity.
Martin of the McTague, Federation of Small Businesses, said: "The Truss Government is off to a flying start.
"Ministers need to be relentless in removing barriers to small business success, especially with the current headwinds.
"The Government has signalled its determination to back small firms and we look forward to working with ministers and departments to put in place measures to help businesses grow and succeed."
