DONALD Trump has been found liable for sexually abusing advice columnist E. Jean Carroll by a jury who awarded her $5million in damages.
The verdict could have enormous ramifications for the former US President who has already launched his bid for re-election next year.
The Republican front-runner must pay Ms Carroll $3million (£2.4million) in damages for defamation and a further $2million (£1.6million) for battery, which includes the sexual assault from the 1990s.
Within minutes of the decision, Trump reacted with fury, maintaining he did not even know Ms Carroll.
He wrote on his social media platform Truth Social: "I have absolutely no idea who this woman is, This verdict is a disgrace - a continuation of the greatest witch hunt of all time!"
