In Belfast city centre, the couple checked out Trademarket, a new outdoor street-food and retail centre – and took part in a husband and wife “shake-off”.
They raced to create one of the venue’s speciality drinks, named Up the Lagan in a Bubble, while trying not to spill a drop of the exotic ingredients, including fruit tea cordial, sherry and a Japanese plum liqueur.
Kate was unable to contain her giggles as she shook her cocktail shaker with vigour – but it was not enough to beat William.
