Colin Gray, 54, is accused of four counts of involuntary manslaughter and eight counts of cruelty to children after "knowingly allowing" Colt Gray, 14, to have access to the firearm.
The arrest came as it was alleged he bought his son an AR-15 rifle just months after the FBI questioned the teenager about a possible school shooting last year.
