JONATHAN BROOM-EDWARDS channelled his brutal experience on TV's 'SAS: Who Dares Wins' to make it from a broken ankle to the Paralympics in five weeks.
The high jumper fractured his ankle in training six weeks ago and surgeons gave him a one percent chance of making the Games.
Having been beasted by ex-military officials on the Channel 4 show after winning gold in Tokyo, BroomEdwards reached into the hurt locker simply to make the start line and finish fifth in the T64 final in Paris.
The 36-year-old said: "It's almost like that experience prepared me for what I've had to deal with.
"I went into some dark places but I've just had to power through it and it sets me up well for the next four years."
