The 36-year-old St Helens hooker celebrated his 455th Super League game with his usual trademark brilliance.
Roby, who knocked previous holder Kevin Sinfield off top spot, played the full 80 minutes, scored a try and came up with a try-saving tackle.
Saints head coach Kristian Woolf said: “He was nine out of 10 with everything but every one of his games has looked very similar. That’s why he deserves all the accolades.”
