North Korean TV censors Alan's 'subversive' jeans

Censors blurred out the veteran TV gardener's "subversive" blue jeans when North Korea showed an episode of his 2010 Garden Secrets show.

Banned since the 1990s, jeans are looked upon as a symbol of Western imperialism in the Communist state.

It is thought to be the first time Alan, 74, has been censored.

The Yorkshireman said he was "flattered" that his jeans were "regarded as subversive".
